The Joys of Freelance Blogging – Back After My Vacations

2383022572_15a3352b80_oDid anyone miss me?

I know you must have been been wondering why I haven’t updated the blog for the last few weeks.

Things have been moving at a rapid pace since I’ve taken up blogging and thankfully clients are coming in more frequently now.

I’ve got lots of news to share with you!

From cracking my first long term blogging deal to taking up an off-shore marketing consultancy role,  I’ve come to experience the true potential of blogging as a marketing tool.

But more on that later!

Right now, I want to tell you about my first vacations since becoming a full-time blogger.

Yes, I was on a vacation – enjoying the freedom that freelance writing has given me.

Having already made  twice the amount of money this month that I used to make in my full-time job, I decided to reward myself with a time-out and went on a long trip to one of the most fascinating coastal highways in the world, almost 350 km from my place, the Makran Coastal Highway.

I won’t bore you with unnecessary details of the trip but the point I am trying to make is the freedom that freelancing has given me in such a short period of time. I had been planning to visit this place for a couple of years but always had issues in getting leaves from my employer

That is of course not the case anymore.

The trip has not only refreshed my mind, it has also made me truly appreciate the positives of working for yourself.

I believe we sometimes get so obsessed with being successful and earning more money that we forget the truly important things in life.

Money alone is not enough  to bring you happiness. It’s the relationships that you have with your loved ones and the moments that you enjoy with them that create truly lasting memories.

At the end of the day, appreciating your blessings and being thankful for what you have is what gives you true happiness.

In my case, like many others, freelance writing and blogging have been the reasons why I am now exploring life with more freedom.

And guess what, it’s only the beginning. I am not even close to being as successful as some of the other freelancers. But I am already enjoying it.

I didn’t have anything particular in mind for this post. I just wanted to share my feelings with you.

Here are a few snaps that I captured with my digital camera. I am sure you’ll like them

    Hey Jawad,

Looks like you had an awesome time on your trip! Taking a bit of time out is always necessary, but especially for us freelance writers who have to work at home.

I’m anxiously awaiting the news that you have to share by the way! And I’m loving the pictures.

    Cheers,

    Daryl

Financial freedom is everything which everyone is looking for, dying for… Really glad you got it and the real positive side in you as I can see that you are enjoying that freedom which many of us never care for or don’t make time to get out of this mess.

    Good luck
